BIOFILL FILLS ANY HOLLOW SPACE: ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND EFFECTIVE
Do you want a hollow space, from crawlspace to mineshaft, or an unused tunnel or cellar filled? With Biofill you do it in a thorough and environmentally friendly way.
PREVENT COLLAPSES AND FLOODING WITH BIOFILL
Hollow spaces like old tunnels and crawlspaces have a high risk of subsidence or collapse. There is also a danger of improper use, flooding or infestation by pests. Thanks to Biofill these risks and hazards are effectively eliminated.
Biofill is an environmentally friendly rigid foam that is introduced into hard-to-reach holes or cavities with injection techniques. Biofill can be used to fill:
- water tanks
- spaces under houses
- raised floors
- lift shafts
- subsided quay walls
A LOW OWN WEIGHT AND NO DANGER OF SUBSIDENCE
Biofill is injected under the floor in liquid form. It fills the cavities and corrects any subsidence.
Biofill has a very low own weight and doesn’t weigh down the building structure.
Finally, the volume of foam doesn’t increase. It hardens and even develops a greater density over the years.
FILLING HOLLOW SPACES WITH BIOFILL: A CASE STUDY
In quay walls of waterways – but also in ports – damage arises due to the bow thrusters of the increasingly busy shipping traffic. Washout is therefore a problem that is difficult to control. The old cracking quay walls are washed out so that the topsoil or pavement subsides.
When Biofill is injected into the washed-out hollow spaces the sand layer is set and further washout is prevented.
